Recently Botswana took delivery of 14 Bat Hawk light surveillance aircraft, which will be used in anti-poaching patrols to protect elephants and other endangered animal species.
According to the report, Brigadier Benjamin Masunga of the Botswana Defence Force, said the government wanted to send a clear message that it remained committed to the fight against poaching to protect elephants, rhinos and other critically endangered animal species.

Air Botswana has changed its schedule for Cape Town-Kasane flights.
Flight BP336 departs Cape Town on Wednesdays and Fridays at 09h30 to arrive in Gaborone at 11h30. Flight BP022 departs Gaborone at 12h15 and lands in Kasane at 13h45. BP023 departs Kasane on Sundays and Mondays at 13h30 and arrives in Gaborone at 15h30. Flight BP333 then departs Gaborone at 16h30 and arrives in Cape Town at 18h30.
As Kasane is more a leisure than a business destination, same-day return flights are not available.
