Day 1 to 2 - Chobe Safari/Bush Lodge, Chobe River

Transfer from Kasane to Chobe Safari Lodge

 

Chobe Safari Lodge is situated in Kasane on the banks of the Chobe River and shares a border with Chobe National Park. Right on their doorstep is the meeting of four African countries: Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Chobe Safari Lodge therefore offers an excellent getaway location to Chobe, Victoria Falls or Caprivi. Including a day trip to Victoria Falls.

Their close proximity to Victoria Falls International Airport, Livingstone International Airport and Kasane International Airport makes it easily accessible, with daily road transfers or charter flights connecting all these airports with Chobe Safari Lodge. The lodge has been recently renovated; and provides easy access to the Chobe River and Chobe National Park's spectacular game viewing.

Day 3 and 4 - Rra Dinare, Okavango

Set in a private 272 km2 concession, adjacent to Moremi Game reserve on the south-eastern side of the Delta, the camp overlooks the Gomoti River and its flood plains and has been designed to embrace the natural surroundings. This is a 100% eco-friendly development, featuring the latest in solar and waste technology.

Day and night game drives take place in the private concession adjacent to Moremi Game Reserve. These are on and off road safaris, comprising six people, a guide and a tracker (at night). Rra Dinare also offers seasonal water activities on the Gomoti river and game walks available depending on local conditions. Mokoros are water level dependent.

Day 5 and 6 - Moremi Crossing/Gunns, Okavango Delta

This 16 tent, eco friendly camp is built on a palm fringed island surrounded by the Moremi's game-rich seasonal floodplains and overlooking Chief's Island. Moremi Crossing is a new style safari camp combining luxury with simplicity. This is a 100% eco-friendly development featuring the latest in solar and waste disposal technology.

Become part of quiet river life along the papyrus clad banks of the Okavango Delta. Explore the wilderness on game drives, guided bush walks, or sit back and absorb the scenery from a traditional 'mokoro' canoe or motor-boat. Watch the sun set while drifting along a lagoon and sipping on sundowners. For the adventurous, they also offer a rustic island camping experience. Game drives are available only when water levels are low and likewise mokoros, boat cruises & fishing are water level dependent.

Day 7 and 8 - Tau Pan, Central Kalahari

Tau Pan Camp is an excellent luxury permanent tented camp situated in a prime position deep within the Central Kalahari National Park. It really is remote, being around 50km from the nearest lodge and over 100km from the park entrance to the northeast, to the south there really is nothing for over 200km. The network of pans to the west of camp are very little-visited, more often than not you will have the place completely to yourselves. Tau Pan Camp is a very comfortable affair, set up on a ridge and with views out over the open pan from which it takes its name. The camp is centred centred on a modest building with comfortable lounge and dining areas. There is also a small gift-shop. Out front there is a campfire area on the deck and a small swimming pool off to the right. Guest accommodation is in eight very pleasant suites rooms, accessed by ground-level pathways and with private verandahs and bathrooms. One of the rooms is a family unit, which has a small additional bedroom.
