CAMP SAVUTI

Savute Marsh

Basic tented camp in the heart of Savuti's elephant country

Camp Savuti is an intimate, tented safari camp in the Savuti Marsh area of the Chobe National Park. This traditional, understated camp is decorated with African-inspired woodwork, cattle skin rugs, and arts and crafts that give the camp an authentic feel.

Five Meru-style tents are raised on wooden decks with private verandas facing onto the landscape beyond. The tents are set apart from each other and from the main lodge, offering privacy and peace for guests in their rooms. Ensuite bathrooms have an indoor and open-air shower offering something unique and refreshing.

Twin or king-size beds have headboards and are adorned with pure cotton linen for comfort, while blankets offer extra warmth in cooler weather. There are safes in each of the rooms, so that guests can lock away any valuables should they prefer to. There are also shelves and hanging space for clothes.

Other facilities at Camp Savuti include the dining & bar area, as well as small deck located next to the channel, a perfect venue to unwind. There is a library, which guests can make use of if they like. The bar and boma facilities are available for convivial drinks around a fire. The emphasis of this camp is its natural appeal, and eco-friendly ethos, while maintaining a serene level of luxury.

The Savuti area is explored via game drive in 4x4 safari vehicles, which take guests up close to the exciting number of game species and predators that dwell in the Savuti region. Bird watching and pure relaxation can be enjoyed from the deck, bar, or lounge.
