Glad to report that we are back safe and sound and a really good flight with BA!

Having picked to go at this time of year for the falls, I was not really expecting to see much wildlife. However, because of the drought we had some great encounters and sometimes a little close. I will whatsapp you some pics.

Transfers were all very good.

Muchenje – fab game viewing, good accommodation, great guide. Staff were all good and friendly. Food was basic and not really great and to be honest not really plentiful. We had room 1 which was on the edge of the camp. Our last night, there was some planned burning so that in our room we had a strong smell of smoke. Interestingly I read a review on TA that spoke of this and now I know what that meant. We liked Botswana though.

Vic Falls Hotel – really liked the style and surroundings of the hotel. Again staff really good and helpful and nice room. Breakfast was really good. Dinner in the Livingstone Room was not good. I think maybe unlike SA, this part of Africa struggles with good chefs?

Really enjoyed the falls and we did do both sides. Amazing. Agree with you that if you only did one side it should be the Zim side.

Little Mak – fabulous! Loved everything about it. Game viewing was amazing and some really close encounters with elephants. All the staff were excellent. Accommodation was very good. Liked the small camp and the food was outstanding! Just loved everything about this camp and Charles our guide was excellent. Would happily rate this a 5/5 and would gladly recommend Wilderness camps.

Overall, we have come back very happy indeed. You took our requests and came up with a terrific itinerary which we appreciate.

It was great to meet Garrick and the hats, bottles, scarves came in very useful indeed.
